SoundAzorb™ panel
Our patent pending SoundAzorb™ panel, uses a proprietary material and design that unlike any other material absorbs reverberations within the cabinet. No matter the cost or design of other speakers, they do not solve the fundamental problem of how to remove the sound energy created by the driver’s cone moving backward within the cabinet. Left unresolved, this energy reflects upon all the cabinet walls, eventually crashing back onto the rear of the cone, causing audible distortion.
Our SoundAzorb™ panel absorbs sound from 20khz, down to 30Hz, with a 10-20db drop off from the original output sound wave. A 3db drop off is considered half as loud as the original measurement. With a 20db drop off, only 1/64 of the original sound wave is left within the cabinet, a claim no other company can make. Going even further, the SoundAzorb™ panel is placed directly behind the woofer in the Mesa and is sealed on three sides with the edge of the cabinet, leaving only the bottom open to the cabinet. This means that any reflections from the back and side walls of the cabinet must then go back through the SoundAzorb panel to impact the driver. This results in unbelievable clarity from the driver, as it is nearly completely isolated from any sound wave energy reflecting within the cabinet.
